Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes (EEPfH)

The private rented housing sector, representing around two million properties in the UK, has some of the most challenging housing in terms of energy efficiency. Understandably, the EEPfH is keen to target this sector but has struggled in the past to persuade landlords that energy efficiency is a good investment, as the direct benefits of lower bills and increased comfort, are enjoyed by the tenants rather than the landlord.

Resonate was tasked with developing and implementing the PR elements of the marketing campaign on behalf of energy and environmental consultants, SE2. As part of a long-term strategy our work to date includes:

Facilitating local, regional and national action between key stakeholder groups (notably, local authorities, universities, energy advice centres and EEPfH).

Development and sell-in of relevant, informative and stimulating story angles targeted at trade media, public sector organisations and associations. For example: a parliamentary launch event press release and feature articles on grants, regulatory compliance and case studies.

Development of potential speaker opportunities at trade and local government events and national property exhibitions. The  campaign was launched at the beginning of 2006 and to date extensive coverage has been attained and verbal feedback has been very encouraging.
